Senior Tech Workshops

Our Senior Tech Workshops are designed to help older adults navigate the digital world with confidence. These sessions provide hands-on instruction in a patient, judgment-free environment where questions are encouraged and learning happens at your own pace.

Why Technology Skills Matter for Seniors

  • Family Connection: Stay in touch with loved ones through video calls and social media
  • Independence: Manage appointments, order groceries, and access services online
  • Healthcare Access: Use telehealth services and health tracking apps
  • Entertainment: Discover streaming services, e-books, and online games
  • Brain Health: Learning new skills helps maintain cognitive function
  • Safety: Understand online security and avoid common scams

Workshop Structure

Each technology topic is presented in a small group setting (maximum 8 participants) to ensure personalized attention. Workshops follow a consistent format:

  1. Introduction: Clear explanation of concepts in plain language
  2. Demonstration: Instructor shows each step on a large screen
  3. Hands-on Practice: Guided practice with your own device
  4. Q&A Time: Extensive opportunity to ask questions
  5. Take-home Guides: Printed step-by-step instructions to reference later
