Gentle Yoga for Seniors

Yoga is a wonderful way for seniors to maintain flexibility, improve balance, and promote overall wellness. This gentle yoga program is specifically designed for older adults, with modifications that make it accessible to everyone, regardless of mobility limitations.

What to Expect

Our gentle yoga classes focus on seated and standing poses with the option to use a chair for support. The instructor will guide you through slow, controlled movements synchronized with breath. No prior experience is necessary!

Each session runs for 60 minutes and includes:

  1. Warm-up and breathing exercises (10 minutes)
  2. Gentle yoga poses and stretches (40 minutes)
  3. Relaxation and meditation (10 minutes)

When and Where

Classes are held at the Community Center every Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement and bring water. Yoga mats are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

Registration is available through the Community Center front desk or by calling (555) 123-4567. Drop-ins are welcome, but registration is recommended as class size is limited to ensure individual attention.

Cost: $8 per class or $50 for an 8-class pass.
